The job required me to take initiative in certain situations and to always be ready for the next task at hand. BBC Bristol – Face to Face placement – 2008
I attended workshops at the BBC including on set at Points West, journalism, camera operating and radio drama as well as working on an individual short film with help from BBC mentors.
Skills Gained- Production skills, networking and better understanding of the industry.
Club Flix – 2006 - Present
Club Flix is a film network for young people aged 10- 22. For the past 3 years I have been involved in the planning, organisaation and delivery of film events for other young people. These include pitching events, camera workshops and film screenings. (www.clubflix.co.uk)
Skills gained- Networking, phone skills, managing a team, production skills, people skills and working with young people as a mentor.
South West Screen Lottery Panel (2007 –present)
Part of the selection team for both Media Box and Lottery panels. The role involves meeting with the rest of the panel to discuss and put forward applications for funding.
Skills gained-Learning how to assess applications and working with industry professionals.
BBC Blast – Sheffield & Bristol 2007
BBC Blast tours around the country every year holding Media workshops for young people. As a volunteer the job involved making phone calls, writing emails, sending out info and mentoring workshops.
Skills Gained – Networking, phone skills, people skills, teamwork skills and working with young people as a mentor.

I review short films for the website as well as submitting my own ideas and content.
